Medic struck by vehicle's side view mirror in East Falls

EAST FALLS (WPVI) -- A vehicle sideswiped a female medic, striking her with the side view mirror in Philadelphia's East Fall section.

The incident happened around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday on Henry Avenue near Philadelphia University Drive.

Officials say medics were on the scene for a call when an oncoming vehicle's side mirror struck her.

That driver kept going, but fortunately the first-responder was not seriously hurt.

She was taken to a nearby hospital to be checked out.

So far, no description on the vehicle.
