ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WPVI) -- Officials were able to rescue two bald eagles from a storm drain after hours of distress in Orange County, Florida.

An avian expert says they probably ended up there after getting into a mid-air fight over territory and falling from the sky.

After an hour, one of the eagles was able to fly away on its own.

The second needed human intervention.

A team of firefighters and wildlife agents finally freed the bird after about two hours.

They haven't said how it's doing.
