Unidentified man shot, critically wounded in Hunting Park section of Philadelphia

HUNTING PARK (WPVI) -- A man is hospitalized in critical condition after gunfire erupted in the Hunting Park section of Philadelphia.

It happened before 12 a.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Warnock and Venango streets.

Officers arrived to find the victim, believed to be in his late 20s or early 30s, shot multiple times.

No identification was found.

The man was rushed to Temple University Hospital in critical condition.

Police are working to determine who shot him and why.
