Suspected car thief flees crash near Ben Franklin Bridge in Old City Philadelphia

OLD CITY (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are searching for a car thief after a crash near the Ben Franklin Bridge.

It happened at 3 a.m. Thursday in Old City.

Police say the suspect stole car keys from a house in the area then sped away.

The driver struck a barrier at the base of the Ben Franklin Bridge then fled the scene on foot.

No one was hurt.
