PORT RICHMOND (WPVI) -- Officials say a fire forced a family from their home in the Philadelphia's Port Richmond section early Saturday morning.
The blaze broke out around 4:30 a.m. from a vacant house on the 3300 block of Amber Street.
The fire quickly spread to an adjoining home that was occupied with a family.
All the residents were able to escape safely but were displaced.
It took firefighters about a half an hour to get the flames under control.
It's still unclear on how the fire started.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
