SEPTA tells Action News the man, believed to be in his 20s, was struck by a maintenance train and pronounced dead at the scene.

TREVOSE, Pa. (WPVI) -- A man who was hit by a SEPTA train in Bucks County has died.

It happened at 1:00 a.m. Monday in Trevose, near the 1100 Block of Boundbrook Avenue.

SEPTA tells Action News the man, believed to be in his 20s, was struck by a maintenance train and pronounced dead at the scene.

They say the man was not a SEPTA employee.

Police are working to determine why the man was on the tracks.
