New Jersey woman, 19, accused of strangling newborn

FRANKLIN TWP., N.J. (WPVI) -- A woman from Franklin Township, Gloucester County is accused of strangling her newborn baby girl.

Jade Fanz, 19, is charged with murder.

The Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office said on Thursday that the body of the girl was found on February 27th on the property of her family's home on Proposed Avenue.

In addition to murder, Fanz is charged with unlawfully disturbing, moving or concealing human remains and abuse or neglect of a child.

The prosecutor did not indicate a motive.

Fanz has been placed in jail in default of $250,000 bail.
