CHESTER, Pa. (WPVI) -- An animal welfare group is now offering a $3,000 reward for information after the charred remains of two dogs were found in a plastic container set afire in an alley.
Authorities said the animals, which appeared to be mixed-breed pit bulls, were found in an alley behind a garage in the city of Chester at about 8:40 p.m. Saturday.
Officials said the dogs were also inside a tote and may already have been dead when they were placed in the bag and set afire. Necropsies are planned to determine the cause of death
The Justice Rescue group initially offered a $1,000 reward, but increased the amount to $3,000 on Monday.
