Police investigating suspicious device in Spring Garden

SPRING GARDEN (WPVI) -- A suspicious device was discovered in the Spring Garden section of the city.

Officers, members of the bomb squad, Homeland Security and fire crews were called to 9th and Spring Garden streets shortly after 6:00 p.m. Tuesday for the report of a suspicious device.

Shortly after arrival, it was determined that the item of concern posed no imminent danger of detonation.

However, police are continuing to investigate the scene, but would not confirm if anything else has been found.
