Philadelphia police investigating fight between 2 on-duty officers

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police confirm to Action News that an Internal Affairs investigation has been launched into a fight involving two on-duty 18th district officers.

Police say a male and female officer were arguing and words escalated into flying fists.

The incident happened Friday night.

The male has been removed from street duty pending the outcome of the investigation.

There is no word on the status of the female officer.

At this time, it is not clear what the argument was about.
