VIDEO: Police: Son accidentally struck, killed by dad
Police say a father lost control of his vehicle and accidentally struck and killed his 17-year-old son in Drexel Hill.

DREXEL HILL, Pa. (WPVI) -- Police say a father lost control of his vehicle and accidentally struck and killed his 17-year-old son in Drexel Hill, Delaware County.

It happened around 8:00 p.m. Friday in the 300 block of Cheswold Road.

17-year-old Rejoy Reji was killed.

Police say his father was behind the wheel when he lost control and crashed into a garage.

"I heard a big bang. Seemed like somebody had closed the garage door. Minutes later I heard frantic screaming and hollering," said Jake Kennedy.

Kennedy lives two doors down. He called 911 and ran to help.

"Someone dressed in nurse scrubs, I don't know if she was related to the family, was trying to resuscitate the boy. The father was holding him in his arms in a big pool of blood," said Kennedy.

Rejoy was struck and pinned. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Family members tell Action News that he was a twin.

On Saturday relatives gathered at the home but declined to comment on camera.

No word what caused the victim's dad to lose control.

Police are investigating.
