Philadelphia police are looking for gunmen in several shootings that happened within a matter of hours.

KENSINGTON (WPVI) -- A man was shot and killed and a teen hit by a stray bullet in separate shootings that police believe may be connected in the Kensington section of Philadelphia.

The incidents happened minutes apart and around the block from each other just before 1:00 a.m.

Officers were called to the 100 block of West Susquehanna Avenue, where they found a 15-year-old boy who had suffered a graze wound to the arm.

They also found a vehicle on the block that had been hit 6 times by gunfire.

Investigators determined the teen had been hit by a stray bullet while sitting in the car.

He was taken to St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in stable condition.

A short time later police found another shooting scene in the 100 block of West Colona Avenue.

A man believed to be in his late 20s had been shot in the head and back. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators are searching the neighborhood for surveillance video. There was no immediate word what may have led to the shootings.

So far there have been no arrests.

This was one of several shooting incidents investigated overnight by Philadelphia Police.

Another unfolded in North Philadelphia. Yet another happened in Taocony.
