VIDEO: Dogs run along Betsy Ross Bridge

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- It was a surprise for a driver seeing two dogs on the Betsy Ross Bridge Thursday night.

And then seconds later, even more heart-stopping, as one of them jumped over the concrete median and appeared to fall off the bridge.

But Action News has learned there was a walkway below and the dog was not hurt.

DRPA officials say the canine was taken to a shelter.

They believe the other one ran away.
