A man was taken into custody just a short time before Pope Francis arrived at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul.

PHILADELPHIA -- A man who was taken into custody just a short time before Pope Francis arrived at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul to celebrate Mass on Saturday morning has been released.

Action News was there as the man was led away by the Secret Service and Philadelphia Police.

Police say the man was acting suspiciously and was asking a number of questions about Pope Francis' route and what type of security was out there.

Officials say he was let go after being questioned.
