Kwanzaa market

SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- One Philadelphia school started a new tradition Friday.

Southwest Leadership Academy hosted its first ever Kwanzaa Market, and had the students create educational symbols and necklaces.

Many of these children already celebrate at home, so this was a chance for them to learn more about the reason Kwanzaa was established, to reconnect african americans with their heritage.
