VIDEO: Josey looking for roster spot
?I don?t get nervous about anything. I?m just excited to be here,? Henry Josey told Action News.

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- On a team that is loaded with running backs, stands a 5'8 rookie from Missouri who, considering what he's gone through, has a heart much bigger than his stature.

"I don't get nervous about anything. I'm just excited to be here," Henry Josey told Action News Tuesday.

Josey may be a long shot to make this roster, but right now, he's leading the team in rushing with 12 carries for 104 yards, and caught a touchdown pass, showing some spiffy moves in the process.

"I've been impressed with him as a runner and I think Thursday will be a big night for him," Eagles coach Chip Kelly said.

It's amazing, almost miraculous, that Josey is even in this position. Three years ago, he suffered a devastating knee injury in which he tore, basically, every ligament that he had.

Josey tore his ACL, MCL, patellar tendon, lateral meniscus and medial meniscus. His doctor called it a one-in-a-million type of injury.

"It's something that I'll never forget and something thankful for everyday that I'm able to play this game," Josey said.

It took three surgeries, over a year of rehab, but he returned to score 16 touchdowns his senior season.

Now, here he is, an undrafted free agent, hoping to make this team and continue to defy the odds.

"Just another step in life that I can say I did it. I've overcame that. This has been a dream come true, just to be able to keep going like I have," Josey said.
