PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The Cowboys' 42-7 win over the Colts on Sunday made it official: the Eagles have been eliminated from the playoffs.

The Eagles loss on Saturday to the hapless Redskins climaxed a shocking three-game collapse.

Turnovers led to all of those losses.

The Birds know they can only blame themselves for missing out on the postseason.

"We were really counting our days anyway. We were negative nine in turnovers, you know, so to even get nine wins with that is surprising," said Maclom Jenkins.

"It's very frustrating for us - to control our destiny at 9-3 and to have this happen - we are very disappointed," said safety Zach Ertz.

Quarterback Mark Sanchez continues to be a turnover machine. He produced 13 of them in the past eight games.

The Eagles play the New York Giants next week.

The game is meaningless for both teams.
