State police say a restaurant owner drove his truck into his own business in Newark, Delaware Friday morning.

NEWARK, Del. (WPVI) -- State police say a restaurant owner drove his truck into his own business in Newark, Delaware.

The red Chevrolet Silverado plowed through the front of "el Salvadoreno" on Kirkwood Square before 8:30 a.m. Friday.

The driver has been identified as the restaurant's owner, Jose Miranda-Garcia.

The 46-year-old man told police the brakes on his vehicle failed.

He refused treatment at the scene and no one else was hurt.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
