TODAY: It's oppressively humid this morning, but dewpoints will decrease through the day. By the afternoon, it will feel only slightly humid, giving us a nice August weekend. As the cold front moves off shore, clouds will break and we'll see partly sunny skies.
While most areas will be dry today and tonight, an upper level trough moves through our far northwest suburbs and the Poconos. Those areas could see a potentially strong storm. The high is a warm 89. There's a low risk of rip currents at the shore. The ocean temp is 74. You'll see a high of 86. In the Poconos, you could see an evening thunderstorm with a high of 78.

SUNDAY: It's mostly sunny with low humidity, making for a nice summer Sunday! The high is 88.

MONDAY: We have pretty perfect weather for the solar eclipse (assuming you have the correct type of protective glasses, of course!). Look for sunshine mixing with a few passing clouds. It will be warm. The high is 89.

TUESDAY: This is an unsettled day with hotter and more humid air in place. Look for a mix of clouds and sun with an afternoon thunderstorm possible and a high around 91.

WEDNESDAY: Clouds and sun will mix. It's still humid with an even better chance for a few thunderstorms. The high: 86.

THURSDAY: Look for a nice, mostly sunny afternoon with lower humidity and a more moderate high of 82. It looks great for the Eagles preseason game.

FRIDAY: It's another mostly sunny afternoon with a fall-like high around 79.
