If you call the topic of our next segment a grinder, a hero, or a sub... someone from Philly will most definitely fight with you about it.
That's because here, it's a hoagie, your favorite deli meat or cutlet loaded sandwich on a long roll.
These delis I stopped by have perfected how to make them, so perhaps the only other thing left to fight about is what kind of roll to put it on.
Breezy's Deli and Market is the youngest spot on our list, which also means they have some of the newest ideas. Shop in the market, grab a smoothie, snack, soft drink, and the hoagie of your dreams with a drizzle of a secret something they call, "hoagie juice".
What I loved:
-The Party Boi (an Italian with house made porchetta)
-The Beer Jesus (turkey BLT)
For "the best Finkin' Hoagies", check out Fink's for a sandwich with some extra Philly flair. I sat with the king himself for a tour of the menu that's been feeding the neighborhood for 20 years.
What I loved:
-The Tacony (roast beef, asparagus, balsamic)
-The Cubano (spicy mustard, swiss cheese, salami, ham, pork, pickles, roasted garlic)
-The Torresdale (garlic sauce, spinach, pork, sharp provolone, onions, long hots)
Bring all of your friends (and your camera) to Liberty Kitchen, so you can show everyone what the buzz is all about. Prepare to wait in line for the most social media and drool worthy sandwiches in the city.
What I loved:
-Kale Caesar Cutlet
-Tomato Pie
-Long Hot Potato Salad
