Alysa Bainbridge joined Action News as a fill-in traffic reporter in September 2024. Born and raised in Berks County, Alysa is thrilled to join the team at the station she grew up watching. Alysa earned her Bachelor's degree in Communications from Saint Joseph's University and a Master's in Leadership from Cabrini University. She started her TV career as a reporter at the Delaware beaches and now resides in Newark, Delaware.

Alysa discovered her love for public speaking and entertaining audiences while competing in pageants. She had the opportunity to serve as Miss Philadelphia 2019, Miss Pennsylvania 2022, and Miss Delaware USA 2024. She feels fortunate to have competed in the two biggest pageants in the country: Miss America and Miss USA.

Alysa has been a mental health and recovery advocate for the last decade. After losing her brother to opioid addiction, she founded Tyler's Triumph, a nonprofit organization in his memory to support people in recovery from mental health and substance use disorders. She shares her family's story on platforms nationwide and through "The More Than Program," which she created and presents to students to promote early mental health intervention. Alysa's free time is spent down the shore at her family's home in Wildwood with her French bulldog, Penelope.
