Philadelphia police identify 18-year-old killed in Oxford Circle

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police have released the identity of an 18-year-old killed Tuesday morning in Oxford Circle.

Chopper 6 was over the scene along the 6400 block of Loretto Street.

Officials first responded to a 911 call for a person with a gun around 8:45 a.m. on the 6200 block of Loretto Avenue.

Police say the victim, Levan Kennedy from the 1300 block of Passmore Street, was found inside a Chevrolet Malibu with gunshot wounds to his head and leg.

Kennedy was rushed to Albert Einstein Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

The investigation is active and ongoing with Homicide Detectives.

So far, no arrests have been made.
