Medical emergency leads to deadly crash on Roosevelt Boulevard in Bustleton: Police

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police say a medical emergency led to a deadly accident on the Roosevelt Boulevard.

It happened around 5:30 a.m. Thursday at the Boulevard and Winchester Avenue in Bustleton.

Investigators say a 46-year-old man experienced a medical emergency while driving, pulled over and his vehicle struck a tree.

He was taken to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital by medics and pronounced dead about an hour later.

No other injuries were reported.

The victim's name has not been released.
