Patrol seizes 900 OxyContin pills in Hancock Co. traffic stop

FINDLAY, OHIO

The driver of the vehicle, Rachel S. Collins, 24, of Warren, Mich., and passenger, Eddie Lee Spivey, 29 of Oak Park, Mich., were charged with possession of a schedule II substance, a second-degree felony.

Troopers stopped a 2010 Ford F-150, with Michigan registration, for a speed violation on southbound Interstate 75 near milepost 159 in the city of Findlay at approximately 1:31 a.m. Saturday morning. Troopers observed criminal indicators and a Hancock County Sheriff's Office drug-sniffing canine alerted to the vehicle. A probable cause search revealed 900 pills of OxyContin.

The suspects were incarcerated in the Hancock County Justice Center. If convicted, both could face up to eight years in prison and a $15,000 fine.
