An Assistant Boy Scout Master is accused of sexually assaulting a child in Cape May County.

CAPE MAY, N.J. (WPVI) -- An Assistant Boy Scout Master is accused of sexually assaulting a child in Cape May County.

68-year-old Frank "Sandy" Thomson was arrested Monday for Aggravated Sexual Contact, Luring/Enticing a Child and two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

Prosecutors say Thomson was an Assistant Boy Scout Master in West Cape May and the treasurer of the Corinthian Yacht Club in Cape May.

Investigators allege he abused one boy years ago.

They say, as recently as this month, he was "grooming" another 11-year-old boy for sexual purposes, through buying him expensive gifts.

Thomson is being held in the Cape May County Correctional Center in lieu of $175,000 full cash bail
