Police said a suspect is in custody after a man was shot and killed in Bucks County.

RICHLAND TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- Police said they have arrested a man in connection with a murder in Bucks County.

Thirty-seven-year-old Nicholas Kovatto is facing a homicide charge.

The shooting took place around 6:32 p.m. Friday in the 100 block of Richlandtown Pike in Richland Township.

Police received two calls from a witness who identified the victim as his friend and Kovatto as the shooter.

The witness told police the victim and Kovatto had a fight, during which he heard three loud bangs. He then observed Kovatto shoot the victim once in the head whiling standing over his body.

The witness fled the scene and called for assistance.

Arriving officers said they found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the forehead.

Kovatto, who was located sitting at a bar inside a small red outbuilding at the rear of the property, was uncooperative and detained, police said.

Kovatto is being held at Bucks County Jail without bail.

Police are withholding the victim's name pending notification of next of kin.
