Amazing timelapse shows pyrocumulus cloud over Rey Fire
Check out this stunning timelapse of a pyrocumulus cloud in Santa Barbara.

Photographer Jesse Rockwell was able to capture a stunning timelapse of a pyrocumulus cloud forming over the Rey Fire near Santa Barbara, Calif., on Saturday, August 20.

According to the American Meteorological Society, a pyrocumulus cloud is "a cumulus cloud formed by a rising thermal from a fire."

The Rey Fire has burned almost 30,000 acres of the Los Padres National Forest and is 30 percent contained, according to the County of Santa Barbara.
