Back on the airwaves for public safety

CLAYTON, N.J. -- First responders in Gloucester County have a new way of communicating.

Nine radio towers and three thousand radios will help them stay in touch and protect public safety.

This new system is expected to be more reliable.

The old one began suffering outages a few years ago, when the government changed the frequencies for digital television.
