2 in custody after shooting in Frankford

FRANKFORD (WPVI) -- A man is hospitalized, and two people are in custody after a shooting in the Frankford section of Philadelphia.

The shooting happened around midnight Friday on the 4200 block of Frankford Avenue and Margaret Street.

According to witnesses, a woman opened fire on the victim. She then hopped into a car with another man and drove away.

Police say the man in his 40s was shot three times.

He was rushed to the hospital for treatment. He is in critical, but stable condition.

Police were able to track down the people in the car about an hour later.

Investigators say this happened just 200 feet from another shooting late Wednesday night.

They do not believe the incidents are related.
