SPRING GARDEN (WPVI) -- Philadelphia Police have determined that a report of a person with a gun outside the Community College of Philadelphia is "unfounded."
Action News is told the report was first called in to police at 11:00 a.m. Monday.
The caller reported someone was armed with a gun near 17th and Spring Garden streets.
Officers were dispatched to the school to investigate, and the Philadelphia School District locked down Masterman High School and Franklin Learning Center as a precaution.
After nearly an hour of investigation, officers turned up no sign of an armed person.
Officials declared the report unfounded just before 12 p.m.
