3 NJ troopers evaluated after hazmat exposure in Burlington County

HAINESPORT, N.J. (WPVI) -- Three NJ state troopers are being evaluated at a hospital after being exposed to a hazardous material in Hainesport, Burlington County.

Action News is told the troopers responded to a burglary call around 11:30 a.m. Saturday at a business on Berry Drive near the Mt. Holly bypass.

They arrived to find a burglary alarm had been tripped, and when they went inside to investigate they were exposed to some kind of hazardous material.

All three were taken to Virtua Hospital in Mt. Holly to be checked out. All were expected to be okay.

Firefighters and police remained on the scene.
