Police: Men throw powder, liquid on SEPTA bus driver

SUMMERDALE (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police say two men threw a powder and a liquid on a SEPTA bus driver on Monday morning in the Summerdale section.

It happened around 6:30 a.m. at Rising Sun and Adams avenues.

Police say the men boarded the Route K bus, threw in a powder and a liquid on the driver, then fled on foot.

Both the liquid and the powder were tested, police say. Neither was found to be harmful.

The bus driver was not injured.

The incident remains under investigation.
