Philadelphia Police have identified a suspect in the strangulation of a woman.

WEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A chilling voicemail led police to a gruesome discovery inside a West Philadelphia home, and now they're asking for the public's help in their search for an alleged killer.

It was just before midnight on Sunday, April 5th when a male entered the 12th District police station and informed officers of a voicemail he received on his cell phone, which stated that a woman was dead inside of her residence.

Police then responded to the woman's home on the 5600 block of Willows Avenue. Inside they found 36-year-old Andrea Roberts unresponsive in a bedroom with a bruise on her head.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

An autopsy has determined the cause of death as strangulation and the manner of death a homicide.

Police are now looking for 38-year-old Jamaican National Omar Lewis, who also goes by the name Maurice Lewis.

Lewis, who resides on the 200 block of N 9th Street, Darby, is known to frequent West Philadelphia and Upper Darby.
