Wedding crasher thief sentenced 4 to 8 years

NORRISTOWN, Pa. (WPVI) -- A man charged with stealing thousands of dollars from two local weddings has been sentenced to 4 to 8 year in prison.

Surveillance video captured 35-year-old Joseph Patrick Franzone Jr. of Pottstown during a wedding at RiverCrest Golf Club in Upper Providence in June of last year.

He stole a card box containing about $9,000 in gifts.

Franzone was earlier charged in the June 9, 2013, theft of a card box containing $3,000 to $5,000 in gifts that had been loaded into a car outside a reception at the William Penn Inn in Lower Gwynedd Township.

He pled guilty to the charges back in March.
