SOMERTON (WPVI) -- An elderly man became the victim of a home invasion when three men busted down his door early Tuesday morning.

The 83-year-old victim lives on Verree Road in the Somerton section of Philadelphia.

Once the men were in his home, he says they stormed into his bedroom.

"I heard a guy come into the room and said, 'Don't move. Stay where you are and don't move.' One with a gun and one with a pipe," the victim told Action News. "It was so fast it wasn't that scary because it was so fast."

Police say the robbers took hundreds of dollars in cash, a ring, and some medications.

The victim thinks the men may have followed him home from Parx Casino after a recent win.
