Owner of Kentucky Derby winner is a native of Bucks County

It was a dream come true, two weeks ago for Terry Finley, a 1982 Truman High School grad, who owns 25% of Derby winner - Always Dreaming.

"It chokes you up. Oh, it's just an emotional surge that is indescribable. You want to cry, scream," Finley said.

Finley and his partners at West Point Thoroughbreds, ponied up 1.25 million dollars in March for their share in the 3-year-old colt.

Finley who grew up middle class, has been investing in horses since 1991, and had never won the run for the roses until now.

"I'm probably the only owner that bought his 1st horse on credit cards. Don't know if I'm proud, embarrassed or what," Finley said.

Finley should be proud. Always Dreaming is the favorite to win Saturday's Preakness - the 2nd leg of the Triple Crown.

"We will have our fingers crossed, stomachs will be in knots. We should be strongly favorite if we have a good day and nobody else has a great day. We will win!" Finley said.
