Driver killed after crashing into traffic light in Southwest Philadelphia

SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A driver was killed after their car slammed into a traffic light in Southwest Philadelphia overnight.

Police say the man was driving on Cobbs Creek Parkway, near Florence Street when he lost control and hit the traffic light.

The victim was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he died from his injuries.

The incident remains under investigation.
