PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- It was an especially violent Saturday night in the city of Philadelphia.

Three people were killed in two separate incidents over the span of just a couple hours.

In North Philadelphia, police say two men were killed and another man was critically injured in a triple shooting.

Investigators say someone started firing shots inside a deli in the 2600 block of North 12th Street just after 9 p.m. Saturday. Officers say at least one of the men inside of the deli fired back.

Police say a 29-year-old man was shot twice in the left calf, twice in the right shoulder, and once in the right shin. He was transported to Temple University Hospital by police and placed in critical condition.

A 30-year-old man was shot multiple times throughout his body. Police transported him to Temple University Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Police believe the same suspect might be responsible for shooting a man not far from the deli on Harold Street.

The victim was shot once in the right armpit. Police transported him as well to Temple University Hospital where he died shortly after.

"We're frustrated, the community is frustrated. I talked to a number of people who live on Harold Street, I talked to one individual gentleman who says he's never seen it this bad, he's talking about moving," said Deputy Commissioner Ben Naish.

Police say they are having a tough time identifying the suspect with surveillance video because the man's face and the rest of his body are completely covered.

Around 9:42 p.m., Philadelphia police say a 30-year-old man was shot multiple times on a porch in Strawberry Mansion. He was later pronounced dead at Temple University Hospital.

Officers say they did not recover a weapon and have not made any arrests.

Anyone with any information is asked to call police at 215-686-TIPS.
