
LAWNDALE (WPVI) -- Officials say one person was hospitalized after a house fire in the Philadelphia's Lawndale section early Saturday morning.
The fire broke out shortly after 1:00 a.m. on the 7100 block of Rutland Street.
Firefighters arrived to heavy flames showing from the first and second floors.
They quickly began working to douse the flames. The fire was under control within twenty minutes.
One person was taken to Aria Hospital for smoke inhalation. They are listed in good condition.
The Red Cross is helping to find shelter for the four people displaced from the burning home.
Officials say two people from the neighboring home were also displaced because of the water and smoke damage to their home.
So far, there is no word on what sparked the blaze.
