PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A 15-year-old is fighting for his life after he was shot in Philadelphia's Frankford section.

It happened around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday along the 2300 block of Margaret Street.

Police say when they arrived at the scene, they found the boy shot in the back. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Detectives say surveillance video shows the teen leaving a store and then collapsing in the street after a vehicle pulls up and opens the driver's side door.

That vehicle was found abandoned in the 5300 block of Oxford Street.

Investigators believe the violence stemmed from an altercation involving another juvenile.

No arrests have been made.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 215-686-TIPS.
