27 years strong: Haverford couple on the autism spectrum renews vows

HAVERFORD, Pa. (WPVI) -- After nearly thirty years, and a lot of love, one special couple is re-committing themselves to their vows.

On their 27th wedding anniversary, Robert and Maria Furey renewed their vows at their home at Brandywine Senior Living in Haverford, Pennsylvania.

In front of proud family and friends the couple, both on the autism spectrum, celebrated their love and the life they've shared.

Mr. And Mrs. Furey met at a church social and have been inseparable since.

They have some tips for us all on keeping love alive for nearly three decades.

"Make each other laugh. Don't get mad at each other. Be happy. Don't go to bed mad at each other...sometimes we do!" said Maria Furey.

Mr. and Mrs. Furey say they'll return to their regular routine, still in love and still going strong.
