6 people taken to hospital after chemical leak in Bridesburg

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Six people were taken to the hospital after a chemical leak in Philadelphia's Bridesburg neighborhood.

A hazmat team was deployed to the 2900 block of Bridge Street just before noon Tuesday for reports of fumes at a business.

It was determined that a small amount of phenol had leaked.

Crews were able to contain the leak.

All of those who were taken to the hospital were in stable condition.
