Thieves stole 96 bananas from Wawa in Montgomery County, police say

HATBORO, Pa. (WPVI) -- Authorities in Montgomery County are investigating an unusual theft at a Wawa.

Hatboro police say two people stole approximately 96 bananas from the convenience store at York and Horsham roads on Saturday.

Officials say the pair fled the scene in a black Hyundai Santa Cruz.

After releasing their pictures, police say the banana bandits have since been identified.

So far, no arrests have been made.

The incident remains under investigation.
