ABINGTON TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- The Abington School District is reviewing its security protocols after officials said a man accused of raping a student was able to enter a school building multiple times.

According to police, Raheem Grange-Allen, 25, is accused of raping a student at her home. He was arrested on June 18.

As part of the investigation, authorities said the victim allowed the man into the high school on two separate days in March by opening a rear door.

Surveillance video allegedly shows Grange-Allen was then able to blend in with students once inside the building.

The incident has raised concerns about school security.

"We share in the concern and shock that this information causes, and we are committed to addressing it effectively. Safety and security must be a priority, and we will seek external support to ensure we are following best practices," said Dr. Jeffrey Fecher, Superintendent of Schools, in a statement to the community.

The district said it is launching a third-party review of its security procedures and is working with police to gather additional information.

Grange-Allen is charged with multiple offenses, including rape and statutory sexual assault. He is being held on $250,000 cash bail.

Anyone who believes they may have been victimized is encouraged to contact Detective Jeff Anderson at 267-536-1118 or by email at janderson@abingtonpa.gov.
