

VILLANOVA, Pa. (WPVI) -- Police are investigating after a Villanova student reported that she was raped while on campus.
School officials sent out a safety alert letter to the Villanova community about the incident on Tuesday.
The student reported that it happened in a University residence hall on Saturday.
Officials say the victim and the suspect are known to each other and that he is not a student.
"Sexual assault is a violation of University policy and the law. All forms of sexual misconduct, including sexual assault, sexual harassment, sexual exploitation, dating/domestic violence and stalking, are not tolerated at Villanova," school officials said in the alert.
The university also shared resources to prevent and support victims of sexual violence.
