Arrest in Northeast Philadelphia man's 2014 killing

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia Police made an arrest in the case of a Northeast Philadelphia man killed nearly 12 years ago.

69-year-old Vito Maglio went missing back in December 2014.

His SUV was found abandoned and torched, and his body was found in the Schuylkill River a few months later.

Police said he was shot multiple times in the head.

Sources tell Action News that 30-year-old Melanie Morat was arrested Tuesday.

Investigators have not yet released a motive.
