Band leader accused of duct taping musician's mouth

A volunteer band leader in New York is accused of duct taping a young musician's mouth shut.

Kenyatte Hughes faces assault and child endangerment charges.

He reportedly caused a 9-year-old boy to suffer a cracked, bloody lip and swelling.

Hughes is no longer allowed in public schools.

Hughes did not comment following his court hearing, but supporters say he is usually a low-key, well-mannered man.
