Bomb squad safely removes reported grenade found in Philadelphia's Feltonville section

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The bomb squad safely removed a reported grenade found in Philadelphia's Feltonville section.

Authorities say someone threw the explosive into a home on the 400 block of Courtland Street at 2 a.m. on Thursday.

It did not go off, so someone inside threw the grenade back into the street.

The home was evacuated until authorities recovered the device.

Officials did not report any injuries.
