Boyfriend questioned after woman's death in Kensington

KENSINGTON (WPVI) -- Police are investigating the death of a 26-year-old woman in the Kensington section of Philadelphia.

The woman's body was discovered after 7:30 a.m. Friday inside a home on the 700 block of East Allegheny Avenue.

The woman's boyfriend told investigators he arrived at the home to find her unresponsive in a second floor bedroom.

Action News has learned detectives found evidence that the woman had been beaten.

They are considering her death suspicious and have taken the boyfriend into custody for further questioning.
