Bucks County man gets life in prison for brutal murder of ex-girlfriend

DOYLESTOWN, Pa. (WPVI) -- A Bucks County man will spend the rest of his life in prison for the gruesome murder of his ex-girlfriend.

Trevor Weigel was sentenced Tuesday following his conviction on first-degree murder and burglary charges back in January.

In February 2024, Weigel stabbed 19-year-old Jaden Battista 15 times in the middle of the street.

Police arrived and were responding to a report of a burglary at a home.

Weigel was taken into custody near Interstate 295 after he had stabbed himself in the neck.
